Our commitment
Ace exists to connect people with work. We believe that work should be open to everyone with the skills and willingness to do it, whatever their background. We follow the Equality Act 2010 and treat people fairly whether they work with us for a single shift or for years.
We will not discriminate against anyone because of a protected characteristic: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race (including colour, nationality and ethnic or national origin), religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
Fair recruitment and placement
- We match people to roles on their skills, experience, qualifications and availability.
- We will not act on a client request that would discriminate unlawfully — for example, asking for workers of a particular age, sex or nationality — and we will explain to the client why.
- Specific requirements are only applied where the law allows them, such as a genuine occupational requirement or a role that legally needs a DBS check.
- Right-to-work checks are carried out the same way for everyone, regardless of how someone looks or sounds.
Reasonable adjustments
If you have a disability or health condition, we will make reasonable adjustments to help you apply and work. That might mean completing your application by phone, giving information in another format, or discussing suitable roles and shift patterns. Just let us know on 020 8854 3826 or at info@acerecruitment.com.
Fair treatment for agency workers
We follow the Agency Workers Regulations 2010. After 12 weeks in the same role with the same client, our workers are entitled to the same basic pay and conditions as the client's own staff doing the same job. From their first day, they can use the client's shared facilities and hear about its job vacancies.
A workplace free from harassment
We do not tolerate bullying, harassment — including sexual harassment — or victimisation, whether by colleagues, clients, customers or members of the public. We take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, as the Worker Protection Act 2023 requires, and we expect our clients to provide safe, respectful workplaces for the staff we place.
If something happens at a client site, tell us. We will take it seriously and act, which may include raising it with the client or moving you to another placement if you wish.
Equality monitoring
Our application form includes optional questions about things like ethnicity. Answering is voluntary and has no effect on your application. We only use the answers in anonymous, combined form to check that our processes are fair, and never share them with clients. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Responsibilities
- The Directors of Ace Multiservice Ltd are responsible for this statement and for making sure we live up to it.
- Managers and consultants make fair decisions and act on concerns raised with them.

Raising a concern

Review
We review this statement at least once a year and whenever the law changes.
